How does the Itunes Store connection work?. Does it see/use your external or internal IP Address?

I know the Itunes Store application is integrated into the Itunes Software, but how does it know what store based on your country to take you too. And again, does it use/see your external IP Address (meaning one that gets seen by websites, that shows your city/state), or your internal IP Address that some other applications use to connect, such as Microsoft Word, etc) to connect.|||I believe iTunes has, in effect, a web browser built into it and the store pages are more-or-less web pages. Because it is a special purpose application it could relay your internal IP address (that is the one allocated to you in your local network by your domestic NAT router) if it wanted where generic browsers wouldn't, but there isn't much point because return packets fundamentally have to be sent to your external address and the router then decides which computer on the local network to return the packet to.
