Is there a way to redeem an itunes gift card without actually going to the itunes store?

um my laptop for some reason always says "itunes could not connect to the itunes store. please check your connection and try again later." even though my internet is fine and both my brother and my mom's itunes store thing works fine. i really want to use the gift card i have but in order to redeem it i have to go on the store and i cant do that. is there a way to do it from the itunes on my itouch?|||Sorry, but there isn't any way to do that.
