my computer is very old and i know it will crash soon. I dont get my music directly from the itunes store. when my computer crashes how can i prevent myself from losing all my music. i do not have a external hard drive. i still want to keep my music on my old computer.|||Hello there, as long as your songs are still on your iPod, you can get them back to your computer and iTunes easily.

This is how I did. I used MediaWidget to move all library files from my iPod onto my computer and iTunes http://www.gutensoft.com/Utilities/Media鈥?/a>

It can transfer all iPod content to the iTunes on your computer, including iPod music, movies, playlists, videos, podcasts, ratings, last played, and more. It's such a powerful one that many friends around me have used it for a long time. Easy and safe.

Now all files are on your computer and iTunes, you can sync your iPod with it smoothly without deleting any files.

Just free download it to try.

For more iPod support information you can also go to http://www.apple.com/support/|||right click on one of your songs and click view in explorer then the file that song is in comes up click the up button until you see a file called itunes music then back that up or copy it into another folder somewhere else.|||burn it onto cds. or find the location of the songs on your computer and put them in a memory stick and put them in the other computer when you get it.|||Copy them to the other computer via flash drive, memory card, data disc, IM or e-mail. You can also store them online. With a Hotmail account you get 25GB free storage from SkyDrive.|||Upload all of them to jumbofiles.com you can put 500gb of your stuff there.
